My Honest Review of the Diet Solution

My Experience With The Diet Solution
It’s one of the unfortunate aspects of life that as we get older our metabolisms slow down. What this means is that it gets harder to keep our youthful weights and shapes – we get a little pudgy. Since I saw this starting to happen to me, I decided to start looking for a program to help me keep the weight off. My doctor also told me cholesterol and triglycerides were getting a bit high, and I needed a change of eating habits to correct the problem. In other words, I had several different motivating factors that led me to start taking my eating habits a bit more seriously.
With my doctor’s advice I made a few changes right away, removing some foods from my diet and eating more of others. I noticed, much to my surprise, that I made progress pretty quickly. I lost 5-10 pounds of fat and dropped my cholesterol and triglycerides to withing acceptable levels pretty quickly. My doctor was quite pleased. Unfortunately, I went back to some of my old eating habits after that, and gained most of that weight back. The problem was that I only knew a few things about what to eat and what not to eat, and I didn’t have a complete system to help me out and keep me both informed and motivated.

First, it does not tell you it has any magic shortcuts to losing weight, only solid healthy eating habits. But by telling you what to eat and definitely what not to eat, it provides you with a way of eating plenty of food so you are never hungry while still letting you lose weight. So in reality, it isn’t really a “diet” (as in counting calories and depriving yourself). Instead it just shows you a way to eat healthy and keep your body healthy, where weight loss is a direct result of that. Second, one of the first things it does is give you a question and answer test to allow you to determine what “metabolic type” you fit into. I wasn’t surprised to discover I am a “protein” type. The program offers specific food recommendations for your specific metabolic type to help you achieve your optimal weight in a manner specific to your metabolic type. Third, when I saw what foods were specifically recommended for my metabolic type, I discovered that some of these foods were specifically the foods I was eating upon my doctor’s recommendations when I first started to lose weight, and the foods that I had excluded from my diet were precisely those foods my doctor had told me to exclude. So the recommendations from the Diet Solution matched those that I had direct experience with for weight loss and better health. In other words, the core recommendation of the plan are consistent with what my doctor told me and with what has worked for me in the past. Now I know I’m on the right track, and now I have a complete system to keep me on that track.

The audio files cost a little extra but not much, somewhere under $30 I believe, and are well worth it for people who need that extra kick in the butt to get going on this.
